Cross Media Study: Independent Research


Work through the following steps and evidence each one by creating a PowerPoint. Your text must have a presence in broadcast, print and e-media.

(i)                  What is the content of the text

(ii)                What semiotic codes are used

(iii)               What narrative codes are used

(iv)               What generic codes are used

(v)                 What representations are available

(vi)               How are the representations  constructed

(vii)             Who produced the text?

(viii)            Who are the target audience across the platforms?

(ix)              Is there synergy/ intertextuality?  

(x)                How are the texts promoted to audiences on each platform?

(xi)              What point does the documentary institution intend to convey to the audience, and what techniques are used to do this?
